आत्म्दीपःभवः का अर्थ है – अपना प्रकाश स्वयं बनो । यह भगवान बुद्ध की वाणी है और जीवन में हर किसी को कोई ना कोई चाहिए जो उसे मार्गदर्शन दे या उसका सहारा बने। मार्गदर्शक का होना अच्छी बात है क्यूँकि वह आपको जीवन में आगे बढ़ने में प्रेरणा देते हैं । लेकिन वह आपको जीवन चलाने में या आपके साथ हर वक्त नहीं रह सकते और इसलिए तो कहते भी है के भगवान उनकी मदद करता है जो स्वयं की मदद करता है । उदाहरण के तौर पर, यदि आप कहीं फस गए हैं और वहाँ जाने का रास्ता केवल नदी पार करके ही पहुँचा जा सकता है तो ऐसे में आप क्या करेंगे? ईश्वर से प्राथना करेंगे कि कोई आपकी मदद करें । आप केवल तैर कर या फिर नाव के सहारे दूसरे छोर पहुँच सकते है । अगर आप ईश्वर के सहारे ही रहते है और यह सोचते है के कोई चमत्कार होगा तो आप गलत है । चमत्कार तो आपके भीतर छिपा है, उसे बस बाहर लाना है। स्वयं में प्रकाशमान होना निरक्षर लोगों के लिए काफी लाभदायक है । वे समाज में डर कर जीते हैं क्यूंकि वे स्वयं को समाज के मुकाबले कम समझते हैं । इसलिए जब बड़े उम्र के व्यक्ति कुछ आगे सीखना या पढ़ना चाहे तो वह कुछ करने से पहले बहुत सोचते हैं । खास तौर पर स्त्रियों को समाज प्रश्न रूपी दृष्टि से देखता हैं । ऐसे समय यह लोग सहायता की और मार्गदर्शन की तलाश में रहते है और कई बार इसी इन्तेज़ार में अपना समय बर्बाद कर देते है। मनुष्य को अपने जिंदगी का चालक स्वयं बनना पड़ता है । स्त्रियों के लिए बहुत जरूरी है के वह स्वयं प्रकाशमान बने। क्यूँकि किसी पर निर्भर रहना स्वयं को खोखला कर देता है और कई बार दूसरे लोग इसी निर्भरता का फायदा उठाते हैं | तो आइए आपको आज इसी विषय पर एक कहानी सुनाए । यह कहानी है भारतीय सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता और अनाथ बच्चों की माता की, जिन्होंने अपनी पूरी जिंदगी अनाथ बच्चों की जिंदगी प्रकाशमान करने में लगा दी । सिंधुताई का जन्म सिंधुताई का जन्म 14 November 1948 में पिंपरी मेघे नामक गांव में महाराष्ट्र के वर्धा जिले में हुआ । उनके पिता का नाम अभिमान जी था और वे पेशे से चरवाहे थे । सिंधुताई अवांछित बच्ची थी इसलिए उनका उपनाम 'चिंदी' रखा गया था । उनकी माँ उन्हें नहीं पढ़ाना चाहती थी लेकिन उनके पिता चाहते थे कि वे आगे पढ़े-लिखे और गाय चराने के बहाने से विद्यालय भेजा करते थे । उनके पास पैसे नहीं थे इसलिए वह भारडी पेड़ के पत्तों को सेल्ट बनाकर लिखती थी । गरीबी के कारण उनको सिर्फ चौथी कक्षा तक पढ़ने का मौका मिला ।/n/nसिंधुताई का पारिवारिक जीवन सिंधुताई सपकाळ का 12 वर्ष की उम्र में विवाह अपने से दुगुने वर्ष के पुरुष – श्री हरी सपकाळ (हरबाजी) से करा दिया गया था जो वर्धा जिले के नवरगाव में चरवाहे थे । सिंधुताई ने अपने 20 वर्ष की उम्र तक 3 बेटों को जन्म दिया । इन्होंने काफी संघर्षों का सामना किया हैं । सिंधुताई और जीवन संघर्ष सिंधुताई गाँव में गोबर के उपले बनाने का काम करती थी लेकिन उसकी दिहाड़ी नहीं मिलती थी । उन्हें यह बिल्कुल मंजूर नहीं था के भारत में गाय के गोबर को ईंधन की तरह इस्तेमाल करते हैं और वन विभाग को बेच दिया जाता हैं । यह गोबर के उपले गांव वाले बनाते हैं जिनकी उन्हें दिहाड़ी भी नहीं मिलती । उन्होंने इसके लिए जिले के कलेक्टर से लड़ाई की और अपना हक्क पाया लेकिन सभी का भला करते-करते किसी का तो बुरा होता ही है । जिले के कलेक्टर इस निंदा को सह नहीं पाए और सिंधुताई के पति को जाकर बोलते हैं ,“तुम्हारे पत्नी के पेट में जो बच्चा है वह मेरा है”। यह सुनकर हरबाजी ने सिंधुताई को घर से निकाल दिया और गाय के अस्तबल में मरने के लिए फेंक दिया । जिंदगी की ऐसी परेशान स्थिति में सिंधुताई ने अपने बच्चे को जन्म दिया और उसका नाल पत्थर से कई बार प्रयास करके तोड़ा और वहीं बेहोश हो गई । होश आने पर वे अपने घर जाती है लेकिन इनके पति और साँस इनको घर के अंदर नहीं लेते इतना ही नहीं इनकी खुद की माँ ने अपना दरवाजा इनके लिए बंद कर दिया था । सिंधुताई जिंदगी से परेशान थी और अकेले बच्चे के साथ झुंज रही थी । उन्हें काफी भूख लग रहीं थीं और उनका छोटा सा बच्चा भी भुखा था । ऐसी परेशान स्थिति में एक दिन श्मशान घाट में उन्होंने आश्रय ढूँढ़ा और किसी की जलती चिता के पास अंतिम संस्कार के बचे-कूचे आटे से रोटी बनाकर चिता पर रोटी सेंककर अपने बच्चे का पेट भरा । सिंधुताई जिंदगी से इतनी परेशान थी कि एकबार रेलवे पटरी पर जान देने चली गई थी लेकिन अपने बच्चे का सौम्य मुख देखकर पीछे हट गई और जिंदगी से लड़ने का फैसला किया । सिंधुताई ने अब फैसला ले लिया था उन्हें जिंदगी से हार नहीं माननी है और आगे बढ़ते रहना है । इसलिए उन्होंने अपनी अच्छी आवाज का उपयोग किया और अपना और अपने सन्तान का गुजारा किया । वे भिकारीयो के साथ गाना गाती थी और भीख माँगा करती थी । कभी मंदिरों तो कभी रेलवे स्टेशन पर गाना गाती थी और भीख माँगा करती थी । कई सालों तक उन्होंने अपनी सन्तान का और अपना गुज़ारा ऐसे ही किया लेकिन उनके बच्चे का ठीक तरह से देखभाल करने वाला कोई नहीं था । इसलिए उन्होंने अपनी छोटी बेटी, जिसका नाम उन्होंने ममता रखा था उसे श्रीमंत दगडूशेठ हलवाई को देखभाल करने के लिए दे दिया था । अपने बच्ची को अच्छी जिंदगी देकर वे खुद कुछ समय तक गाना गाती थी और भीख माँगती थी । सिंधुताई के अतुलनीय कार्य आगे जाकर सिंधुताई ने अनेक बच्चों की मदद की और उनके लिए वसतिगृह और आश्रम बनाए जहाँ से सभ पढ़-लिखकर आगे बढ़ गए । इसके कार्य के लिए उन्हें काफी प्राइवेट स्पॉन्सरशिप और डोनेशन भी मिले । सिंधुताई के खुद के बच्चे भी बड़े होने के बाद उनकी ऐसे कार्यों में मदद किया करते थे । उनके द्वारा बच्चों के लिए बनाए गए आश्रम के कुछ नाम हैं - ‘सन्मति बाल निकेतन’, ‘ममता बाल सदन’, ‘सावित्रीबाई फुले मुलींची वसतिगृह’, ‘अभिमान बाळ भवन’, ‘गोपिका गाय रक्षण केंद्र’ । इन आश्रमों में इन्होंने कई बच्चों को पाला-पोसा और उन्हें काबिल बनाया । इनके कई बच्चे Phd हैं और कुछ का खुद का व्यवसाय है । सिंधुताई के 1050 बच्चे हैं, 207 जमाई और 36 बहुएं हैं । सिंधुताई ने अपने साथ-साथ उनकी भी मदद की हैं जिनके पास कम था और इसलिए यह सैकड़ों बच्चों की माँ कहलाती हैं । जब वे 70 वर्ष की थी तब इनके पति ने इनसे आकर माफी मांगा थी । लेकिन तब उन्होंने अपने पति हरबाजी को कहा कि, “ आप मेरे सबसे बड़े बच्चे हो और अब मैं सिर्फ एक माँ ही हूँ” । सिंधुताई की ख्याति अपने अतुलनीय कार्यों के लिए उन्हें पद्मा श्री पुरूस्कार, मदर टेरेसा पुरूस्कार, और नारी शक्ति पुरूस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था । इतना ही नहीं इनकी कहानी से प्रेरित होकर श्री अनंत महादेवन ने इनके जीवन पर “मी सिंधुताई सपकी” नामक फिल्म 2010 में बनाई थी । सिंधुताई की मृत्यु दिल के दौरे के कारण सिंधुताई 73 की उम्र में 4 January 2022 को हम सभको छोड़कर चली गई । जाते जाते सिंधुताई जी हम सब को एक सीख देकर जाती हैं कि जिंदगी में इंसान को खुद के लिए प्रकाशमान बनना चाहिए और अपने प्रकाश से सभी लोगों को भी प्रज्वलित करना चाहिए । जिस तरह सिंधुताई ने लोगों की मदद करके उनके जीवन में रोशनी लाई, वैसे ही हम आज प्रण लेते हैं की अपने जीवन को अपने आप प्रकाशमान बनाएंगे और अपने साथ औरों का भी बनाएंगे ।
